What is Monarch Giving Day?
Monarch Giving Day is our 33-hour fundraising event that kicks off the Annual Fund for the year. It’s a day when families and alumni come together to support the students, faculty, staff and programs that make our school exceptional.
What is the Monarch Annual Fund?
Tuition dollars sustain the essential operations of our school — salaries, benefits, and facility maintenance. But it’s the Monarch Annual Fund that fuels our growth, innovation, and excellence.
Tuition keeps us going, the Monarch Annual Fund keeps us growing!
Each year, the school identifies where Monarch Annual Fund resources can make the greatest impact. Your contributions provide the flexibility and immediate funding needed to address emerging needs and seize exciting new opportunities.
The 2026 Monarch Annual Fund directly supports our greatest assets — our faculty, staff, and students — ensuring that every gift makes a meaningful difference in this school year and beyond.
What is the goal of Monarch Giving Day?
Our monetary goal will be announced soon. Our participation goal is 100% of Monarch families! A broad base of support from our entire St. Edward community is the key to our success. Each gift, no matter the amount, makes an impact on our school.
What does Monarch Giving Day Support?
Monarch Giving Day is our one-day effort to raise money for our Monarch Annual Fund.
Dollars from the Monarch Annual Fund are what allow us to respond to new opportunities for students and faculty each year. Proceeds are used to fund four areas:
- Professional Development
- Student Enrichment
- Campus Safety & Security
- Tuition Assistance
Your support of the annual fund allows us to grow and thrive.
Why doesn’t our tuition support these things?
Tuition funds support our school’s basic operating costs such as salaries, staff benefits, and maintaining our facilities and grounds. However, the true cost of Catholic education exceeds tuition. While the school allocates a portion of its budget toward professional development, student enhancement programs, and Tuition Assistance, the Monarch Annual Fund gives a necessary boost to these areas.

St. Edward Parish School was founded in 1981.

Monarch Giving Day will begin at 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2026, and conclude at 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2026.
Is my gift tax-deductible?
Absolutely! St. Edward The Confessor Parish School is an exempt organization as described in Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. You will receive an acknowledgement letter that will serve as your receipt for tax purposes.
What are the Day of Giving challenges?
There will be several giving challenges—coming soon! The challenge funds will be announced and “unlocked” at different points during the Monarch Giving Day.
How can I make sure my gift counts on the Monarch Giving Day:
Online:
Visit www.stedschool.org/MonarchGivingDay between 12:01 a.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2026 and 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, November 18, 2026 (PST).
By Phone:
Call 949-496-1241 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. (PST) on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.
In Person:
Drop off your gift at the Front Office between 7:30 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 17, 2026.
Can I write a check instead of donating online?
Yes! We love to receive donations via check. It saves on credit card processing fees!
- Make your check payable to St. Edward the Confessor Parish School and write “Monarch Giving Day” in the memo section.

Will Monarch Giving Day only take place online?
In addition to online giving, join us on campus for Bingo Night to celebrate Monarch Giving Day and keep the momentum strong through the 33-hour challenge.
